KZ-CERT has been established to cooperate with Internet community to effectively detect and response security incidents as well as to devise necessary measures to prevent those incidents. In particular, KZ-CERT’s mission is:

  • to operate as a single, reliable and trustable centre for Internet users’ in the emergency situations;
  • to contribute in the effectiveness of cooperation between security experts and to assist them to solve security problems;
  • to assist in identification and elimination of computer vulnerabilities;
  • to conduct the research to improve information security of existing computer systems;

to initiate preventive measures increasing awareness and understanding of security issues in information and telecommunication systems among users and service providers.

Computer Emergency Response Team provides assistance in responding to the following types of incidents:

  • Denial of Service (DoS, DDoS);
  • Hack / Attack of the Internet resource;
  • Malicious software creation and distribution;
  • Phishing on the Internet;
  • Viruses;
  • Botnets;
  • Other.
