To maintain the required level of protection of state electronic information resources, information systems and information and communication infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan from external and internal threats, the Advisory Coordinating Council on Information Security (ACC) was formed from specialized specialists of state bodies and organizations.
June 4th of this year The first meeting of the ACC on information security was held in the RSE "State Technical Service" of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, ACC members familiarized themselves with the current state of information security in state bodies, exchanged views on the development of measures for the mutual exchange between government agencies of operational and other information on the response to threats and IS incidents, discussed how to conduct research of the program code for malicious functionality, test objects of informatization of "electronic government" and information systems related to the critical objects of information and communication infrastructure, for compliance with information security requirements, etc. Also, the participants were demonstrated the capabilities of the platform for operational interaction, which allows for the exchange of data on information security between organizations.
Following the discussion, members of the ACC were entrusted with the task of starting the execution of the tasks indicated in the protocol, to organize working meetings for a substantive discussion of the problems and issues of monitoring information security, etc.
The next meeting of the ACC on information security is scheduled for September 2019.
